Cosmetic claims: Turmeric Extract can support glow, radiance, antioxidant care, and comfort positioning. Avoid claims about treating acne, inflammation, wounds, psoriasis, or medical pigmentation disorders.
Formulation note: Turmeric can strongly color formulas and surfaces. Use level and format matter more than the ingredient name alone.
Frequently Asked Questions
For masks and natural-color formulas, standard turmeric extract can work well. For serums or creams where color must be controlled, ask for a lighter or more dispersible grade and test at low use levels. If the story is curcuminoids, request assay data.
Standard curcumin-rich materials are not truly water-soluble, though some cosmetic grades are water-dispersible or carrier-supported. Tell us whether your formula is an emulsion, gel, mask, or anhydrous product before selecting the grade.
It can strongly yellow or orange the formula and may stain packaging or skin if used too high. This can be desirable in wash-off masks, but it needs careful testing in leave-on products.
Keep claims cosmetic and appearance-focused: hydration, comfort, radiance, antioxidant care, smoother-looking skin, visible aging support, or even-looking tone depending on the ingredient. Avoid disease, treatment, SPF, wound-healing, or drug-style claims unless the finished product is reviewed under the correct regulatory pathway.
