How to read COA supplements data before buying bulk

IdentityBotanical name, plant part, source type, extract ratio, carrier, and batch number should match the quote and sample label.
Assay and markersBerberine HCl should show assay by HPLC. Mushroom extracts should explain polysaccharides, beta-glucans, triterpenes, cordycepin, or other relevant markers.
Heavy metalsReview lead, arsenic, cadmium, and mercury limits against your target market and finished product serving size.
MicrobiologyCheck total plate count, yeast and mold, E. coli, Salmonella, and other market-specific requirements.

What is the difference between COA and MSDS?

A COA confirms batch-specific quality results such as assay, heavy metals, and microbiology. An MSDS explains safety handling, storage, hazards, and transport information. Buyers usually need both.

Can you provide a product COA before sampling?

Yes. We can usually provide a recent COA or representative COA before a sample is shipped. Final bulk approval should use the actual batch COA.

Do supplement ingredient COAs need HPLC?

It depends on the marker. Berberine, curcuminoids, cordycepin, ginsenosides, and many standardized actives should use HPLC or another suitable method. Generic UV testing may be enough for some broad markers but not all claims.

Can you arrange third-party testing?

Yes, for qualified orders. Third-party testing can be arranged for heavy metals, microbiology, pesticides, beta-glucans, assay confirmation, and other buyer-specific checks.
